Good to know
- Several states in Northeast India need an Inner Line Permit (Indian citizens) or a Protected Area Permit (foreign visitors) for some or all areas. Check the state's official site before you go.
- Travel advice currently warns against travel to parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Manipur and areas near the India–Pakistan border. Check the U.S. State Department and UK FCDO before you go.
