ToolCox's Bazar and Saint Martin: best dates to go
See which days are packed and which are quiet before you book. Red days are the busiest (Eid, national holidays, long weekends, the New Year rush), green days are quiet. Tap two dates to check a stay.
A planning guide, not a booking system. Eid dates depend on the moon and are estimated; the 2027 holiday list is not out yet. Saint Martin's rules come from the government directive for the 2026–27 season and can change.
How the colours are worked out
- Very busy (red): Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha holiday weeks (estimated), national holidays (21 February, 26 March, 14 April, 1 May, 5 August, 16 December, 25 December) and the long weekends they make with Friday and Saturday, 20 December to 2 January, and Friday–Saturday weekends in December and January.
- Busy (amber): weekdays in December and January, and weekends in November, February and March.
- Quiet (green): the off season (April to October), weekdays in November, February and March, and Ramadan, when hotels often offer discounts.
- June to September is monsoon season: quiet and cheap, but the sea can be rough. Swim only where lifeguards are on duty.

Saint Martin's Island, 2026–27 season
- Open to tourists from 1 November 2026 to 15 March 2027. Closed the rest of the year.
- Overnight stays only in December and January. In November, February and March it's a day trip.
- Every visitor needs a government travel pass, and pays a Tk 100 environmental conservation fee. Daily visitor numbers are capped (reported at 3,500), so passes for busy days can run out.
- Tourist ships leave from the BIWTA jetty at Nuniyachhara in Cox's Bazar town.
