- Your date is rated like our best-dates calendar: very busy (Eid holidays, national holidays, long weekends, Christmas and New Year, peak-season weekends), busy, or quiet.
- On a very busy day, the beach line, Kolatoli Road and the government and NGO guesthouses are shown as likely full; the back lanes, the town and Marine Drive as filling up.
- On a busy day, the front lines and the guesthouses are filling up and the rest likely have rooms. On a quiet day, every line is green.

- Check the room before you pay if you book on arrival, and agree the price including tax and service charge.
- Want a quieter stay? Hotels along Marine Drive towards Inani are calmer than Kolatoli and Sugandha.
