Is it in the Commonwealth, SAARC, ASEAN or the GCC?

Pick a country, or tap it on the map, to see whether it's in the Commonwealth, SAARC (South Asia), ASEAN (Southeast Asia) and the GCC (the Gulf). Switch the map between the four to see every member in blue and every other country in red.

These are groups of countries that work together. Being in one does not give you a visa for the others: each country still has its own entry rules. Members as listed on the official sites in November 2026.

Good to know

  • Commonwealth: 56 countries in Africa, Asia, the Americas, Europe and the Pacific. There is no shared Commonwealth visa: each member has its own entry rules.
  • SAARC: its Visa Exemption Scheme is for set groups such as officials, judges, members of parliament and journalists, not ordinary tourists.
  • ASEAN: citizens of ASEAN countries can visit most other ASEAN countries without a visa for short stays. Visitors from elsewhere need to check each country.
  • GCC: citizens of the six Gulf countries can travel between them with their national ID cards. Everyone else needs each country's own visa or entry approval.
  • Beware of fake visa agents and look-alike visa websites: apply only through the country's official site or embassy. See find your embassy.

Map disclaimer: we do not take a side

GetReady takes no position on any boundary or territorial dispute. This world map is simplified and is not an official map. Where the United Nations has a position, borders follow UN maps: Crimea is shown as part of Ukraine and Cyprus as one country, and Kosovo has a dashed edge. Taiwan, Palestine and Western Sahara are shown as their own areas because they have their own entry and road rules; this is not a position on their status. Lines in Kashmir and other disputed areas are approximate. Territories are shown as part of their country, and a few tiny disputed or empty ones (such as the Falkland Islands, Gibraltar and the Chagos Islands) are left off.
